Citizenship Merit Badges March 15th w/ Jen B of Troop 195

Posted on Mar 11 2026 - 2:33pm
Here is a local Opportunity for anyone needing Citizenship in the World, Community or Nation coming this Sunday.  If interested, reach out to Mrs. Bruneau at the number listed below....

If your scout can, have them do Cit in the World 4 c for pre work.

Also, if your scout needs, we can work on Cit in the Nation and/or Cit in the Community.
Within 2-3 hrs it’s reasonable to finish 2 MBs if they do pre work.

Cit in the Community pre work:
#5
#3 won’t be completed that day

Cit in the Nation pre work:
#5 watch news 5 days in a row. Start today to have that satisfied.

Has the scout visited a Nat historic landmark?
Marshall Fields downtown and Grant home in Galena qualify. Otherwise this will be the only item not complete for that MB.

Sunday, 1pm- 4pm or sooner.

Opportunity to Attend Sea Base

Posted on Mar 2 2026 - 6:51am

Their spots have been filled....

Troop/Crew 671 has reserved a high adventure trek to Sea Base St. Thomas in June 2027 and is wondering if there are any interested scouts in T303 who would like to attend. We have two-12 person treks reserved, for a total of 24 participants. At this time, we have four spots available for Scouts and/or leaders, any gender! Would any of your Scouts be interested in this once-in-a-lifetime trek??

Here are the highlights:

T195 Offering Citizenship in Society for T303 and other troops

Posted on Feb 17 2026 - 11:10am
I am hosting CIS, Citizenship in the Society, Merit Badge. This Eagle required MB is unlike all other and is my favorite of the 20+ I teach. It is mandatory to be in a group (4+) setting and all scouts need to be within 2 years of age. With minimum prep work (1 hour or less), this MB can be completed in one 2-3 hr session.

This session is only for scouts 12-14 years old on March 15th.
Please confirm if your scout will attend. I will then need to be connected as their MBC in scout book to sign the electronic blue card and enter the requirements the same day. Once confirmed, I’ll send the pre work requirements via email.

I will also have a male leader present, two deep is covered. This leader was a scout in another country. If your child needs that requirement (Citizenship in the World 7c; International Spirit Reward) that can be arranged as well.
